A/C switch replacement.
There appears to be a bit of dimensional controversy over the
A/C temperature switch P/N 911-613-121-00 v/s the replacement P/N 911-613-121-01. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1457906446.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1457906464.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1457906484.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1457906501.jpg ^^^^^ This is our original M/Y 1986 factory A/C temperature switch. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1457906799.jpg ^^^^^ And this switch is advertised as the P/N 911-613-121-01 Thanks in advance, Gerry http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1457906993.gif |
Gerry, there are more detailed threads on modifying the new switch to fit. I used those posts to modify mine last spring. I simply used a bench grinder to slowly and carefully grind down the top of the switch (plastic and metal) until it would fit in the console plate. Be careful to not grind too far--only grind the minimum you need for it to fit. When I did mine, I ground enough that the plastic on top of switch was almost gone and exposing internal components so I wrapped top in electrical tape before installing it to protect the internals. Ultimately, if fit and worked well. Good luck, Tim
