White,Black and Red Relays
Howdy,
my 74 911 has several relays -1 for the horn in the fuse panel, 1 or 2 more behind the dash, a square blinker and probably another 1 or 2 i have never located. My question is; what's the distinction of the different colors of the relays? I have found White, Red and Black relays but there may be purple ones for all I know! Can I use a red one for the horn relay or is a white one necessary? same for the Fuel Relay - they all seem to be Red but why? I have looked at the wiring on each relay and they all seem the same, but I keep wondering why there are several colors to choose from? Maybe Porsche just likes different colors? Thx |

Yes, there is a difference in the relays. So a search in this forum and you will finds LOTS of info, especially on the RED relay which is for the fuel pump.
