Does anyone know this 911?

My father may be making a deal on this car tomorrow. Just curious if it's ever popped up on here years ago. The previous owner was from Lincolnton North Carolina area back in 2006. It's a 1983 with a unique interior. It's aparently been completely stripped out and repainted Corvette yellow, although it seems quite bright in the pics it does look nice in person. I don't love the yellow accents in the interior but those are easily fixed. Engine was rebuilt by Black Forest Racing back then as well.

Can't help with your question, but agree about the interior. The gauge cluster surround in yellow might not look all that bad (think Singer) after you replace/recover the seat inserts, door cards, console and knee pads. Relatively easy and inexpensive fix. If your dad wants to keep the yellow exterior, playing up the interior a bit with pepita/houndstooth or plaid with yellow accents on the seats and/or door cards might be pretty cool. Or maybe RS door cards with yellow pulls.

Black Forest is a very reputable repair and race prep shop in San Diego
Call and ask for Steve Grosskemper to see if he knows the cars pedigree
He has one of the fastest PCA SC's in Cali

There is a Black Forest racing near lincolnton NC.
John is the owner. He does great engine building. His 914-6 can't be caught.
I've been in the area for 8 years. Can't seem to remember the car.

Thanks guys, we have a tentative deal in the works, will be finalized in the next couple weeks. I drove the car today and although it's a slug compared to my turbo car, it's pretty fun to drive.

The motor was rebuilt by John Forbes at Black Forest in NC.

I'm trying to find out the original colour and if the tail is original. There doesn't seem to be any colour tags anywhere after the repaint. The trunk looks like it has some green in it but the current owner thought the car was originally Kiln or Ruby Red.

I was trying to find out if it's a euro car, I thought the rear bumperettes looked thin, but perhaps they are not. Also not turn signals on the fenders but they could have been removed during the repaint. The vins also don't match up but I think that because it's a US car, am I correct?

A couple more pics...

Oops never mind I now see that Euro bumperettes were skinny in width, not depth, so these are definitely not Euro bumperettes, these are fat!

Personally I think my dad would need to add a ducktail and carrera script and this thing would be badass looking!
