Targa bar cover prep before repaint
Ok Ive got the targa bar cover off and stripped the old paint. Now should I just clean the stainless steel before repaint or lightly sand to help the new paint adhere better? I'll be repainting with Wurth satin black and give it 2 coats. Any advice would be appreciated !

I would sand with 320 grit and use a sealer primer like RM products...some 600 prior to paint to make sure you get a nice smooth surface and then paint

I just put a satin vinyl wrap on mine, pending the time I can pull it off to have refinished.
did you have much trouble getting it off? pics? good luck.
