Porsche Indie in Louisville? Any suggestions?
Trying to find one of dem-dere honest and knowledgeable Porsche mechanics in the Louisville, KY, area.
Anyone have a name, and preferably some experience with one (or more) here? Need some work on a 2002 996 and 1987 3.2. Thanks. |

For the 87, I would drive it up to Farmer Automotive in Indianapolis area. Bob is top notch, honest and will tell it how it is. He only does air-cooled though. He's worked on all my 911s.

I'll second Stuttgart Specialist. You can take your air-cooled and your water pumper to them.

Funny, I put an ad on the L'ville Craigslist asking this same question, and I got quite a few similar recommendations to Stuttgart. |

Thanks. It's a bit of a drive up there, and worse if I have to tow the car. But, I sure would like someone who ONLY does air-cooled, as the limited perspective IMPLIES that they really really know the car -- as opposed to having to know the whole spectrum of Porsches. I'll keep Farmer's in mind. |

Yup, and they're not the only Euro shop in Louisville either, but seem to have the best reputation.
