Bought a race car w/o a title, need some guidance.

First and foremost thanks in advance for the help! Bought my first 911, super excited was exactly what I'm looking for well except for the missing title. Its an ex race car and has passed through many hands after its last street duty. My local DMV told me in order to get a title I need the last registration before they will do anything. She tried to pull up the VIN but nothing came back. Want to get it titled so I can run it on the street as much as possible. Hope you guys can help.

Here is the link to the person who sold the car to the gentleman I purchased it from.

Here is a (rather large, apologies) pic of the vin.

Where are you located? My neighbor gets titles for these situations. Relatively cheap to do.

Sell the car to someone in a state that doesn't require a title. Have them sell it back to you. Go register it.

Georgia...

Is it a Canadian car?

This should not be a problem if you have a Bill of Sale and the car is not currently listed as stolen.

Call this number in Tampa - PH: 813-237-5805 You will have to have a notary or police officer do a visual VIN check.

they titled my car in 3 days., same situation.

Has anyone been able to title a car in Canada ? Bought a car 5 years ago as a parts car without a title , just bill of sale from the USA . Brought it across the border with no problems . Dmv here says to title I can not register it here! Any way around this ? Thanks

I have done this in Ontario with a bill of sale. Just like was said above for Florida, you will need a sworn statement showing the circumstances in which you bought it, and the reason that you don't have a title for the car. They should have a guide at the MTO.
One thing that might cross you up is if you reported it at Canadian customs as a "parts" car. In that case, they wouldn't have treated it as an imported vehicle, and wouldn't have required the clearance from U.S. customs. It MIGHT require going through the import process again...

yup this , if you 'tried to pull a fast one" as importing as a parts car, then trying to register in Canada as a driver you may have import issues.
