aftermarket oil cooler?
I called Parts Heaven the other day looking for a used oil cooler on account of the one installed in my 168K mile 78 SC is leaking. They said they have used ones out in the yard for $250....but for only $350 I can have a brand new one, made in Asia, but with all of the right labels on it i.e. it's a knock off of the Behr units we know and love.
I hoping someone here has tried one and has liked it, or has tried one and hated it...or whatever. Doug Zielke says he has heard of someone here trying one and having it not fit at all....is this true? thanks guys ps - I'm going ahead with a plan to have my guy build me a 3.0 litre with weber 40 IDA carbs, S-cams, JE pistons (9.5:1 CR) and MSD ignition. I just hope we can make it run reasonably smoothly.
