Maybe they can cut a big hole in the first floor, and rip out some first floor ceiling to attach a chain hoist to the ceiling joists. Then they can raise it to the first floor. After that, they can repair the first floor's floor and ceiling. When they're done, they can report to the hospital to be brain donors, as they're not really in any need of theirs.

If any of us wrote English as bad as in this thread we would be flamed from here to eternity. Glad to hear they did get the motor out though... I was going to suggest jackhammering out the basement wall.

Put some BIG ASS boat fenders on it, flood the basement and pull it out the door.
