Question Tool for Boge strut

I want to replace my front Boge shocks with Koni's. I have lowered the strut, but I need a special tool to rotate the strut cap,
something like a 33-34 mm hollow hex. "101 projects" does not mention this tool and the Bentley manual only mentions a "nut wrench" Does anyone know this tool ?

it might be easier to leave the strut in place when you break that loose. A big pipe wrench will work. Also, best piece of advice on this topic is to use a liberal amount of duct tape on your fender lip so that you won't scrape your fender when you shove the new (difficult to compress) strut cartridge back under the fender.

Good luck!

Big pipe wrench...give it a twist...your new strut insert probably has a new cap to thread in or it is part of the new cylinder...(my Bilsteins cartridges threaded in)...

Apply a little blue Loctite to the threads, tighten them down with your fan belt pulley wrench. Should get ya in the ballpark...

Good luck!
