Looking to borrow a 84-89 speedo

Having Speedo issues in our newly restored '86 Carrera Targa. North Hollywood just restored the speedo and the trans was just done at Supertec. Speedo not working so I'm hoping to eliminate some gremlins by putting in a known working unit to determine what the issue is - UNLESS someone here has other ideas? Anyway, if you have one to loan for a few days I'd be happy to pay postage both ways. I doubt I'll put more than a few miles on it. Please pm me if you can help. Thanks.

Check the sender on the transmission. It might have a loose connection, might be seated incorrectly after the transmission work or might have failed. I had to replace mine. It would do nothing until driving the car for about 1/2 hour and then come to life. It should send a pulse 8 times/rotation of the axle.
