another strike against PAP!!

This kind of e-bay behavior really gets under my skin!!

PAP had a set of OEM adjustable spring plates for auction. They look nasty in the picture and had been up for auction several times before. This time there was no reserve. The bidding was at $26 and I thought I would take a chance for a just over $30 and write it off if they were no good. Some body bid up $0.50 over my price - no big deal I let them go. Then the auction ends with no winner!!!

Today I see the same spring plates back up for auction by PAP with a reserve!!!

Only thing I can figure is they were bidding against me. That is really petty behavior. Especially when you hear about an operation like Competition Engineering, the guy has more work than he knows what to do and he always behaves properly. He could rip off bozos like me right and left and 99% of us would never know it (like another rebuilder we have heard about). Caveat Emptor!!

turn them in to ebay go to site map and send an e-mail with what you just said and they will investigate, i was bidding on some stuff one time when at the last minute they canceled there bid, my last bid i decided i didnt want it when they bid over me, but they cancel so that ment i had to buy, i looked at thier feed back only to see this person did it alot, I turned them in and they were kicked off, so try it, havent ever bought from them but seems when I call I get a run around, Kevin

I saw that auction too.

I purchased an item from them once, and it was not up to my standards. They offered to accept it as a return but I kept the item because that would have been a pain in my ass. They then said the next item I purchased would ship free.

Well, there simply isn't going to be a next time!

The internet may seem like an easy place to rip people off, selling to someone far away and brushing them off or pulling tricks etc... It is places like this board that keep everybody honest, or at least informed.

Bought there, never again. Run around and around and around.
