3 prong 3.2 tachometer help....

I purchased this from a fellow member for a 914 3.2 ltr conversion. Below are pictures and we're trying to sort the wiring but all diagrams we find are a plug with 6 pins. Is this a 84-89 3.2 Carrera Tachometer? I bought this tach from a forum member and it was a great transaction. It does not have an upshift light and only has 3 pins in the plug All I've seen and the only wiring diagrams I can find are 6 pin below are pics any help/clarification would be helpful! Thanks.

sorry pics in post above

I didn't think that this was posted the first time sorry. I couldn't get them to load from my phone for some reason I just reposted from my computer above.

Looks like a date code on the rear. I can't quite read it. I'm not sure when they changed to the shift light. My SC does not have one.

The shift light was put in in 1984.
With the six prong plug I is very late 80s.

So far I have found 3 three pronged tachometers that people have and all are marked as 84-85 model years does anyone have any additional info on these? I am putting it into a 914/3.2 conversion and if it is NOT a 3.2 tach I have been told (and have experienced it. On 2nd Ecu) it can damage the ECU. Any additional info would be appreciated.
Thx
