high idle

Hi. I'm having a bit of a high idle on cold start 2k, what's normally the problem when the happens. are is there a temporary fix I can do please help I don't want to throw a rod are any other problems. thank you.

I have fixed mine by cleaning the idle air control valve, and fixing vacuum leaks. Once it is warm spray some starting fluid around the intake manifold carefully and watch for idle surge it wll indicate where the leaks are.
