Email Notifications/Subscribed Threads?

Anybody else not receiving emails when a thread is replied to? Checked my message board settings and it appears all my subscriptions still exist (in other words I didn't accidentally unsubscribe somehow) but i'm not getting any email alerts. I even manually subscribed to a few threads I wanted to watch today and no emails.

Thanks
Kev

Are they going into a spam folder by chance?

KTL 04-08-2016 09:28 AM

Nope no spam messages in gmail. Good thought!

Look in your "rat", or "squealer" folder. 915s shift like butter!

A lot of people stopped getting email notifications after Wayne's server upgrade, myself included.

Productivity is soaring. :D

I'm not getting 'em, either.

Has anyone tried creating a new subscription or wiping out all the old and creating new?

The thing I love about any graphical interface is that there are raw settings under that visual shell that have to be interpreted to be displayed by the interface. If those settings are corrupted they may display but not be functional.
In other words: Don't always believe the pretty picture on the screen!
(I miss the bulletproof reliability of txt based interfaces...)

It is still more likely that Wayne's server upgrade broke the notification module. It could be looking for changes in a hardcoded location or have disrupted the communication method. Once he is aware he can get it fixed.

I'll give the other side of the email coin.

For months I was getting spammed by Pelican, sometimes getting four or five of the exact same emails at once. They were all ads. The only reason I didn't block them was due to the notices I would receive from PM's. Also, I felt loyal to Pelican and so I simply would delete them.

Since the upgrade, I have received no spam from Pelican, but I also have not received PM notifications which may or may not be coincidental.

I've never gotten Pelican emails when a thread is replied to on my Mac.

Well I'm not getting my notifications either so hopefully a fix is in the works. Always fun to catch up on what changes occurred yesterday on the treads while eating breakfast. its way more work hunting them down myself.

Everything stopped a couple of days ago.

Until the email notification gets fixed, perhaps click on CP and then click on "list subscriptions" to see the latest updates to your subs.

It isn't automatic. You have to subscribe to the thread by clicking on "Thread Tools" and select "Subscribe to this thread".

ischmitz 04-09-2016 05:44 PM

I got one from this thread just now. Maybe something was fixex

PCA7GGR 04-09-2016 06:16 PM

On my threads, it shows "instant" but it's not.
