Muffler for 1973 911T
Has anyone tried the TMP Muffler listed in the Pelican Catalog?
Price is certainly attractive but would be interested in knowing how it stacks up with a Dansk. You can see it here: Muffler TMP9490 - Tasker Metal Products - TMP-9490 | Pelican Parts

Yup. Needs some user feedback for more confidence. I suspect build quality quite a few notches below the factory equivalent which should be the reference point. Many are available in the pre-owned market.

Where do you see them used? Not here.

I see many choices for later cars both here and at The Samba but rarely one for an early 911 like mine.

Did you miss/overlook this one? TheSamba.com :: VW Classifieds - Porsche 911 Exhaust / Muffler Bischoff It's a 2in/1out factory muffler (Bishoff) from 1974, the last of the factory 2in/1out mufflers. Most 911 mufflers of this configuration are of mild steel. This one is encased in a double-wall stainless steel shell. Notice the lack of rust. The numbers appear identical to the one I have. The tailpipe can be fixed or removed, the small dent removed and the shell polished or just refinished. This factory muffler is NLA. Only replicas are available (Dansk, etc.). Food for thought. Thanks. I did see this one but was concerned about that little pipe hanging out of the body. And also the condition of the tail pipe.

Sherwood,
I am looking for a stock look and sound. Guess I need to keep my eyes open. The Tasker unit is inexpensive enough that it may be worth a try. I would feel better if someone else goes first though.

Hmmm, no one else has any thoughts on this unit?
