Rennline Rubber Engine/Trans Mounts

Hi All,

I'm wondering if anyone has had any experience with the HD Semi Solid rubber mounts from Rennline?

Recently I installed a set of Rebel Racing black mounts on both my engine crossbar and and G50 transmission crossmember, there is a significant improvement with regards to power train location, however, the NVH from the gear box is significantly worse.

The noise which is offensive is not the shift rod, it is gear rattle and diff whine (especially coast side). This high frequency noise isolation has less to do with the stiffness of the mount (that is more about the perturbation of the chassis due to the engine), rather the internal damping of the material.

I'm considering either; replacing all the rebel mounts with the rennline products OR rennline on the transmount and OEM sports mounts on the engine crossbar. However, before I do change the mounts I am interested in others experience.

5th gear high RPM too obnoxious for long distance highway driving...I have the same issue and was wondering if the trans mounts were the problem but I also changed gears. Tell me if you have changed it and what appened
