3.6 to 3.8 964 question

Anyone know if a set of 1995 Porsche Motorsport 993 RSR 3.8l jugs and pistons will fit a 964 '90 motor (pretty much the same block isn't it?)? Someone selling a low mile set with wristpins and all for pretty cheap $1000.

They are probably bore in cylinders which means you would have to bore the spigots in your case. Sure they are RSR?

They are supposedly off a 993 RSR wrecked with only 1 or 2K on it. Only seen pictures up to this point.

The spigots look thin so they may be drop ins but at least standard 993s have narrower
small ends so 964 rods are not compatible.

Need to bore out your case... Not slip in. Also it's a sprint rsr piston I believe which the CR may be to high for pump fuel?

There are several versions for these pistons, 1 for the wider 964/930 rods the other for the narrower 993 rods, also different cr's

RSR will have 109mm spiggots , the slip ins will have 107mm

RSR will also have tapered wrist pins

I need to see them in person I guess, and bring my calipers. He's 2.5hr drive but only asking $1000. I'd at least do a strip down of mine (90k) 964 and maybe Pauter rods or something.
