New (to me) Porsche 39 days after my Targa was Totaled
Ok, I admit it, I am horrible at waiting. Patience and I usually don't meet. If we do, it's not very often, or for very long
![]() I was going to wait until after the first of the year, but when good deals come along, you have to react, right? I am tickled to report that a deal has been made for a replacement for my mangled C2 Targa. Here are the specifics: 1987 911 Cabriolet 42,000 miles Always garaged 2 owner, all records Full service history Manual top Diamond Blue/Blue interior Here's a picture: Picking up next weekend! - Oh yeah, we are just now getting into convertible weather in Florida. |

Very nice. I have an 87 cab also. Late 80's are still my favorite years for 911's.

Hey Doug, not too cold today. 12/15/03. I had my cab out for a run today. The top is never up on this car.

A chilly 62 here today - but supposed to warm up! Wdarner - great looking cabriolet! I guess I am going to have to try and figure out what to do with my old wheels from my C2 - 17" with 56mm offset. I don't think they will fit on my newcab! Boo Hoo.

It looks like snow on the ground where the picture was taken of that fine looking cab. Where did you find it?

In the cold weather, put the roof down, crank up the heater, wear some winter woolies and experience the rush of cold, fresh air as you canyon drive the best of the 911's! (I'm not biased really
![]() When you find a nice place to park with the women of your choice you can have fun warming each other up with some physical activities (once again at your choice) and share a hot chocolate from a thermos. Yeah....1987 Cab's! Enjoy. Mark

So, anybody know what size spacers I would need? Wheels are 8.5J x 17 offset 56 fronts
9.5J x 17 offset 56 rears ? This is how they looked on my C2 Targa ![]() |

Jeremy,
If I am not mistaken.. I am thinking that the offset on your new 11 is the same as a 78SC and i had a pr of 993 whels on mine running 1" in front and 2" in the rear and it came out to look like this.. so i am thinking that you would need the same. Please some one chim in if I am wrong. but I think they are the same ![]()

Thanks Eric - Yep - think the 964 and 993's have the same offset. Any problem with running a 2" spacer? I guess it shouldn't be that big of a deal as long as you keep the wheel centerpoints aligned.
Thanks for your help guys! |

Jeremy, the 993 has a deeper offset in the rear. For the 964 offset you need 1" in the front, and 1" or 1 1/2" in the rear.
