Correct color of metal Air Filter Housing?
I want to refinsh the air filter housing of my 1969 MFI. It has some rust and the color is faded, so i can't decide what was is correct black finish? It looks it has matte finish, but the paint inside of the hosing looks much more satin. I don't want to powder coat it because it was dip painted originally. I can pain it in matte, satin or shiny black.
I saw many variations by many restorers. So please help me out with it? This picture is just an illustration
