Boschen/Barth in "the Porsche book" show this as a 1967 model 911 K-coupe

As I understand it: some Porsche built, some Karmann built

1968 911 coupe, Karmann body, 130 HP.

Not a T model, T's weren't imported to the US that year and only had 110 HP. The models imported into the US were the 911 and 911L. They had the same 130 HP engine and differed by their trim level.

Looking at Peter Morgans book. A K-body 911 T would have a vin number 11825xxx.

What is the engine # ?
Should be 38xxxx.

This must be some special 911 T, how do these tyres fit under the arches?

I don't know about the "special part",but it's different. The car has really flared out fenders. These large tires are in the rear. The car had been sitting for 4 years & I pick it up for $3,000.Paint is chipping in some places and needs some fiberglass repair in a few places.bright red with whale tail.Have no clue what the car is really worth but for now is running well.As for me I rather have it came stock ,but easy come easy go.

Also, there's a pulley on the left timing chain cover that rotates when engine is running, noboby seems to be able to tell me what it's for or how to disconnet it. My guess is that it's a smog pump?Any clues? thanks.

Did you ever find the engine # ? It will make BIG difference when it comes tune up time. You want to make sure your not running around returning parts.
