Sheridan Motorsports Amber Engine Tin for a 3.6 Conversion
Hi all,
I've needed engine tin for my 3.6 into 69 911 conversion, and finally picked up some amber fiberglass Sheridan motorsports tin from our host. I wrote to them to see if they had any sort of installation guide, and he's pretty adamant that it won't fit my engine. He says it's for 3.2 and earlier. Isn't that specifically what I want for a late engine/early car conversion? I haven't sized it up to the engine yet, but my assumption is that it's the right kit. Otherwise, is there another kit I should get? |
Michael,
I am interested in this as well - my 3.6 is going into a '72 and I am not sure which tin to use. I know the large rear-most piece from the 3.6 can be cut down to fit, but I agree with you, I thought the earlier parts were the ones to use. Thomas |
3.6 engine tins are way different than the 3.2s and earlier, hence why he said it wont fit. Maybe you could make it work, idk, but when I did a few of these years back, I simply went to Home Depot and bought a sheet of metal (like roof flashing) and cut/made my own.

They are nothing like the 3.2 and older tine- will it work? I guess with enough work it will- but there will be very little Amber left to make it work.
Ps Amber is stunning! I tried your rout before I just had everything painted black |
