New Car !!

Well, new to me anyway. As most of you know, I sold the C2Turbo Hybrid, and was looking for another project car so to speak. I looked at a couple beat up C2's (didnt want anything older than that), and then ran across this awesome 993. I realize this really isnt a project car by any means, but this body style has always been my favorite and the price was VERY right. Basically $$,$$$ less than book value. Picked it up through an auction my sales manager attended. Anyway, here are some pics,..

Very, very nice. An early 95 right? Be sure to check the engine wiring harness. The 993 Rennlist board has all the info. Sounds like you got a great deal.

Dump it on euro 030s and some HREs with dark window tint and you'll be styling. Nice find and enjoy the new 993!

Cool. how many miles, and how much was it?? $25 ish.. Your killing me.

I am very interested in moving into a 993 next and I will be interested to see how it goes with you. Seems like you do track days etc. in your car and I want to see what the operating costs are like when they lead this type of lifestyle.

nice wheels, can't wait to see it up close. How about some more details on the condition, miles, etc, and can you get the same deal for your local atl pelican heads?

Why not just say the price? We're all friends here.

Hey Mark....congratulations! You know....only guys with small penises feel the need to own those raucous 3.6 twin plug beasties. Now, if I can only figure out how to get one of those horrible little motors into my lowly Targa...hmmmmm.

Seriously...you'll love it. You need to meet Keith Lewis. He'll be joining in the fun at the January DE in his identical 97 993 Coupe. Give us some more details....year, mileage, condition, etc. Heck, I don't even want to know the price....I'd only eat my heart out.

You da man! Look forward to seeing your new baby.

Cool Congrats -- Very nice!

And that cool black color as well...

You sure do move fast. I knew you couldn't go long without a 911 in the garage. Even I am surprised though that you couldn'g go even a week!

I test drove a very nice dark green '95 993 just like it back in September when prices were falling to $30K. I was not impressed with the performance for that kind of money, so no doubt you got a steal months later. Of course the engine wiring harness needs to be updated to keep from smoldering.

If you like the handling/suspension stock then you are in luck. If not, then it is very expensive to modify the car from what I have heard. For starters I suggest getting rid of that dual mass flywheel and stock pressure plate by the way-- go with RSR components and get the car off the line much faster.

So, what are your plans? Enjoy those creature comforts like heat and A/C that actually work!

P.S. The C2 turbo SC has settled in nicely at her new home. She gets to go for long runs in the park to stretch her legs!

Hey Guys,.. Its a late '95, with less than 50,000 miles. I havent decided if its black or or dark charcoal. Looks alot like both. I got it for @ 27K. As I said before the plan was to get a project car, and build a beast again, but I couldnt pass this up. Besides after building my last 5 911s, it is nice to have a "nice" one from the start. Of course, first thing Monday morning, the calls go out to get the stiffer lower springs, camber plates, chip, exhaust,. etc,..

>I do know of a very nice 92 C2 for @23K (90K miles),, and a 90 C2Targa that needs minor repairs for 15K(110K miles)<
