How to open Cibie lights?

I have a pair of Pallas Cibie hood lights on my SC but I cannot figure out how to open them to change bulps.

Anyone that can give a hint?

Anyone can help?

There is a spring tab in the bottom center to remove the trim ring. They hook on the top and then press in at the bottom. Similar to a 911 H4 light but with a spring tab instead of the screw. They basically just pop off with some effort.

Then the light will be attached to an adjuster ring. remove the adjuster ring from the light pod housing and replace the lamp assembly.

So you just push up the spring tab in the bottom to get the trim ring of?

Do you have the trapezoidal tab that hangs down at the bottom center? Then yes, IIRC pull forward on that tab.

There is also a trim ring that has a recessed tab. In this case you have to pry off with a non-marring tool.

I have the trapezoidal so it should be pretty straight forward.

Thanks.

I figured the rim part out and it's gone. But how do I get to the bulb? Do have to remove the three adjustment screws?

remove the 4 perimeter philips screws. This will take off the adjustment ring from the lamp housing. This will also not disturb your beam alignment.

Glad you got the trim ring off.
