Metal Polishing - Michigan
Pelicans,
I am looking for a quality metal polisher in the Michigan area. After considering anodizing, and powder coating, I have decided to polish my window trim and door frames to a bright finish. I would welcome any recommendations. Thanks All. |

Actually, you can do it yourself with some patience and a buffing wheel. I bought a spare bench grinder from my local pawn shop and replaced the grinding wheels with two buffing wheels. Get some medium and fine buffing compound and you will be all set! When I did the window trim on my SC, it took me about a month working off and on to do it all. If you can't get the quarter window out of the window frame, be sure to cover the glass with a layer of duct tape to protect it. Once all the pieces are buffed and reinstalled, protect the bare aluminum with some good paste wax. Good luck!

That looks awesome. Just enough bling to brighten things up. Also with that period color it works perfectly.

Proctor's is a plater in Mi. but I would think that you could get them to polish your parts as well.
