Window motor wiring

Having difficulty finding where the window motor wires connect on the motor. I've got access to the motor and regulator, but I can't see well enough inside the door compartment to see where or how they connect. Any directions or especially pictures would be greatly appreciated. 1986 911 targa. Thanks

So the two yellow connectors are where the two wires connect from the switch to the motor? Sorry I'm new to this procedure. Thanks for the pictures. I'm assuming I remove the two wires at that connection and then I can remove the window motor and regulator??

Motor.

Are trying to remove the motor?

Or, just the wires?

You can remove the motor without removing the regulator.

pm me as needed.

I tried to send you a pm. Guess I don't know what I'm doing there also. Haha. Yes I'm just trying to replace my window motor only. I thought the regulator comes out along with the motor?????? Thanks for your replies

True, but IIRC, you'll still have to detach the regulator from the door to get the motor into a position where it can be unscrewed from the regulator arm.

Also, I was lucky enough to have a switch-to-motor cable that had a 2-terminal connector to mate at the motor end, making it much easier to make a connection than dealing with two independent faston tabs.

Good Luck

This should give you further help.

Thanks to Gerry and sky for there advice. I finally got the motor out without removing the regulator. Mine also has a a two cable connector. Can either of you please tell me where I can/should purchase a new motor. Was thinking about a used replacement, but don't want to trust the condition and I'm also not too eager to do this job again anytime soon. Any feedback is always appreciated. Thanks again. Gary
