Jenvey ITB question

This is my first ITB installation and I need a sanity check. Based on pics I've seen online, I expected to see the injector ports oriented to the outside and the intake manifold vacuum ports to be on the inside. Tonight I noticed that one is that way (right) and the other has both located on the same side.....making for an awkward situation for plumbing the vacuum lines.

I thought it was a simple matter of removing the ITBs and spinning them around but, the intake manifold has a machined area on the top flange to accommodate the injector spray, and it is in the correct location.

Please let me know if I'm missing something obvious.

Thanks,
Robhttp://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1462405692.jpg

Thanks for the pic Ferrino, yours looks like what I expected. I sent them an email and hope to get a response when they open tomorrow.

Resolved

Just a quick follow up on the resolution with Jenvey.

I dealt with Nigel Ricks (Sales Manager) and the customer service was top notch. He responded very quickly to my emails and shipped new manifolds in less than 24hrs. Even though I purchased my kit from a US distributor, they worked directly with me and never questioned where or when I bought the system. They were only focused on getting me the correct manifold.

Here's the email I received this morning....

Good morning Rob
I think for safety and making sure the correct parts are shipped I have replaced both manifolds, I have also supplied a complete O ring and bolt kit to swap the bodies over, it is very simple and shouldn’t have any issues for you to swap over, if you’re not 100% confident I can always get the kit collected and shipped back for us to swap the intakes?

UPS Tracking number 1Zxxxxxxxxx

The delivery will be on Monday during the working day.

Thank you and have a nice weekend.

Kind regards,
Nigel Ricks
Sales Manager

There are plenty of examples of bad customer service, thanks for letting me share this positive experience.

Nice! Mistakes happen, but how they are handled is what makes the experience positive or negative.

Now post more pics of your parts and project please!

Great result - but how on earth did the castings come out wrong? Or do they machine the grooves for the injector spray and someone had a bad day?

I've gotten a few new pieces recently and I'm about to update my rebuild thread. If someone can explain how to link it here, that would be great, otherwise it'll be at the top of the page soon!

Sounds like a bad day. I figure someone put it on the CNC backwards and machined the wrong side.
