Brake fluid reservoir overflow
I'm working on my brakes on my 85 Carrera and have traced the brake fluid reservoir overflow line to a point behind the fuse block where it goes down through a hole in the inner fender. Where does it end/drain?
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1463080958.jpg Also, in the front of the driver's side wheel well, there are 2 plastic containers. I have looked at every parts diagram in the catalog and I think one is the windshield washer fluid reservoir. What is the other one? http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1463081020.jpg Thanks. |
Not sure where the overflow drains. The second plastic canister is the fuel vapor evaporation chamber.

I believe it serves as a "wide spot in the line" to allow vapors to be sucked back to the carbon canister that is located in the right rear wheel well and allow liquids to drain back to the fuel tank. It's part of emission control system.
Look at page 240-23 in Bentley. |
The overflow drains in front of the windshield washer reservoir. The white plastic tube is held against the chassis tub with some metal tabs. Look under the front spoiler/valance where the front of the chassis tub and side of the chassis tub meet at the corner and you'll see it.

All: Thanks. Bentley 240-23 shows the tank in the schematic.
