Difference between 3.0sc and 3.2 tachometer??

Hello. Can anyone tell me what the difference might be between a tach from say an early 80s 3.0 sc and an 84-89 3.2 carrera???

I need a tach, but see them advertised as either a 3.0 or 3.2, but the faces look identical (7K with a 6300 or so redline??)

Any help would be appreciated. THANKS!

The connections on the back are different, plus the 3.2 tachs have a shift light.

Except for the very late Carrera. 88 and later have the gang plug ins.
The SC tach has an internal rev limiter with the drive coming from the CD box.
The Carrera has up shift light and drive coming off the brain.
They should be interchangeable
