What carpet to buy from PP for the 73 911E?

As part of my project to freshen up the interior of our 73E, I'm planning on replacing the carpeting. I'm not at all clear about what type of carpet to buy for the 73E. There's four choices in the PP online catalog. Any recommendations? Money's not really the issue; if I end up going with expensive stuff, I'll just wait a bit before I replace the carpet. If I go cheaper, I'll do this sooner. Whatever looks "right" or "best" is what I'd like.

Wayne, any samples to look at? I just saw that one set of samples from the other thread.

Thanks for your advice!

Jim, I don't know the name of the material type...but if I post the pic right, you can see my original carpet here...under the 1970's coco mats.

Wasn't the OE carpet German Square Weave? Personally, I think I'd go with the least expensive solution, unless you have restoration/concours in mind.

Greg, square weave was used in earlier models than ours...My carpeting is original equipment, but maybe they used different materials for T, E, and S? Not sure. I'm also not sure of the material name. Hoping somebody will weigh in...also, thanks to Evren, I now have more pics I can post...

Jim
I have had both the domestic pile, which is kind of plain ol carpet I think, and the german square weave wool blend (expensive, in my old 72S). They both look fine, but the square weave is courser, seems less luxury, more german stoic all business. Its kind of like berber vs think pile carpeting for your house. I think the charcoal color is better for hiding dirt too, I've got domestic black, looks fine, but shows everything you track in. Still waiting to pick up some coco mats to go over it...

Paul, I think the name you're looking for is "Harrigan" (sp?). It was the original carpet for the 73E. It's getting harder to find in colors, charcoal is available with no problem. The only problem is cost. There are certainly other ways to go, nothing else reproduces the original look however.

Thanks for the inputs, guys. Perlon seems to be leading in the poll, but "the voters haven't given it a mandate". I have no idea what these carpets will actually look like.

Wayne, if you're out there, please post samples of these various carpet types! Thanks.
