Leaker...

It's too darn cold right now to do a full engine scrubdown so just looking for some feedback on the following:

1) Two parallel oil splotches about mid engine on the garage floor

2) Seem to spread as the car sits for longer stretches (winter weather)

3) Took it for a fun late night drive and while it was out of the garage warming up cleaned the oil up with kittie litter, around 3 days ago and today when I peeked the stains were back....

Oil return tubes right?

Thanks.

Adam

Likely candidate,,,,or the oil cooler seals, or a loose fitting on the oil lines....

Wink

My 87 is dry all spring, summer and fall, but leaks a bit during cold Chicago winters in an unheated garage. When spring returns the leaks stop. Seems to be from the original one-piece return tube seals. Bought some one year and then sent them back to Wayne when the leaks stopped. I just put a low cardboard box under from late Nov. to early March. If it is a small seasonal leak from these tubes, it will probably clear up with the warmth next spring.
