Souteast machine shop recommendations

Finally removed top end of my 79 3.0. 6 exhaust studs snapped. Haven't driven for over a year. Transmission issues sidelined it originally. In need of a machine shop that's versed in working on Porsches. Looking for a honest shop to do what's needed .I'm in central South Carolina. Charlotte nc is a hotbed of racing so I know I'm not too far away from some good shops- I just don't know who to call

I would try flat6pac Bruce. He is a great contributor on Pelican and I think he is in North Carolina. Just do a search on PP.

964 oil pressure after fresh rebuild

Sad that there is always someone around who looks for the bad.

With 148 post to your screen name one would have to say that you are new to the community an thus, judging from this post, have not much to offer at this point.. In essence do you know either of the parties? Or better yet, do you know Bruce or have you had any experiences with him yourself? As a number of folks have said, he's a huge contributor (you should try it) to this community and has been very helpful to most.

I have personal knowledge of both, and the douche who posted the threads shopped that POS car around to every local shop in the area, (my aera, I know the shops and the car) he didn't want to, or couldn't pay for the services he really needed.. and Bruce kinda got sucked into it tying to help the guy out. He finally went away from our community, so if you're anything like him.. you should do the same.

Thx

I don't believe Bruce does his own machine work, but he has plenty of contacts. Also, Amen to onboost. Bruce has helped me and many others and talking trash reflects more on the speaker than on Bruce.

No matter where I was in the US I would ship them to Ollie's in Lake Havasu City, AZ. Good prices and huge expertise in Porsche...
(Price list is posted on their website.)

Yep and so he did. I'll admit, I think I lurked a couple of years prior to joing
However, joining and contributing are two different things!
