Need help w/linkage
 

When adjusting the linkage on my webers what do they mean by having almost no backlash ? Also, is it ok to have both sides open at the same time but having my left bank not closing totally?When I try to adjust the ride side and make the ball joint shorter it opens the left side too much . Getting frustrated ,Please help.

My mistake it's my right side that doesn't close all the way.Also do you set the idle on one side frist and then adjust the other until the idle screw touches the valve?
