Anyone else see this radio/nav retrofit for classic 911's
Ran across it by accident but it might be interesting to some:

Mini screen GPS that is permanently bolted to the car for 1200 USD? Pass....on the right...possibly even through the ditch...

Future...
in-dash stereo / sat nav units are the past...especially for $1.2k!
If you are like me who runs everything off my phone - then rather go with a headless approach. Bluetooth Equalizer, compact AMP connected to whatever combo speakers you want. Run everything off your IOS, or Andriod phone. Nicely tucked away under the seat....clean dash. ;) Although - to be 1000000% honest - the sound is awesome, but not as good as just listening to your engine when driving. |
Jabs, which unit do you have? I have a Kenwood KAC-M1824BT Bluetooth 4ch Amplifier and really like it BUT I can not adjust the volume from the iPhone nor can I actually turn it off while in operation (it is disabled when I turn off the car). It gets annoying when I need to do some work on the car, start up and my music starts playing! I have to either turn the volume down or turn off bluetooth on my iPhone. I'd love to find a unit exactly like this that ONLY has an iPhone interface for volume and channel selection.

It works great - despite some folks telling me that the Earthquake piece is a bit old, and i couldn't find anything newer. Hope this helps. |
