Anyone used the "manual tire changer" from harborfrieght?

I wonder if anyone use this tool to change and balance car's tires?

Sounds like it doesn't work on nice wheels

I have one. Its pretty useless on car tires. Works OK removing tires from the dune buggies, 4 wheelers and dirt bikes. Only use I have found for the car tires is removing the strip of tire left after using a sawzall.

I have long wondered about this tool. Never thought to check you tube. I would love to be able to change tires at the house. but no one has invented a cost effective way to do it yet.

I've done it manually, in the 70's, when my fiat rims would not fit on the tire changer at work.

It's not easy to break the beads by hand. I used to lay my tire/wheel on the ground, with valve removed from valve stem, and break the bead by lowering another car's tire on mine with the lift.

Then used tire spoons to get the tire off.

That HF tool looks too light duty.

I got one to change the tire on my daughter's go-kart. It sucked at that.

I agree - I wish I had a real tire machine.
