Question Oil breather hose

First ..I searched 1981 SC , what is the correct oil breather hose clamp orientation please, I have total access to it as I am resealing the airbox and CIS parts on the bench.

I think on mine the fastener screw was on the right side (passenger) facing parallel to the front of the car. I don't think it really matters as long as it's not fouling anything? It's important you get a really good seal so it's airtight. There's a couple of nubs on the engine port that the hose goes over from memory. I put the fastener on under those.

Sure no probs. Another thing to watch for if you are replacing those breather hoses - there's one hose that has a restrictor in it at the oil tank end so look out for that so don't forget to install it in the new hose.

Does the restricter look like a hose splice nearer to the oil tank? Edit, just found it in the catalog Thanks again!

Hey Steve - no it's right in the end of one of the hoses that connects to the tank. It might be in the one that goes from the splice to the tank - kind of looks like a cone with the top chopped off on one end.
