NRF vs. Laengerer & Reich oil cooler

I just bought a Laengerer & Reich oil cooler for my 84’, but when it came it’s labeled NRF. It looks exactly the same. Is one lower quality than the other?…or is this one of those ‘made in the same factory’ deals? I’ll just keep it if the quality is comparable. Thanks all!

They are not the same - These are different companies. If I recall this correctly, L&R was OES (Original equipment supplier), and NRF is an aftermarket supplier. I don't believe L&R makes these coolers anymore, so most companies have superseded to the NRF version.

Just for your information, CSF also has an upgraded OEM+ replacement which may be a better alternative - https://www.pelicanparts.com/More_Info/CSF8168.htm?pn=CSF-8168&bc=c&SVSVSI=3449
