Mech Brake switch-Led's- No Relay

I wired a mechanical brake switch off the mc brake switch and did use a relay, because I replaced the std brake light bulbs with LED's

Question is, am I OK without a relay since the led brake lights draw very few amps?

Without a doubt, the mechanical brake light switch sure gives me peace of mind that the brake lights go on immediately when I touch the brake pedal .
The LED's just add to the safety margin, IMO.

I think you want as little complexity/opportunities for failure as possible on a brake circuit and relays are prone to eventual failure.

Add up your lights and their draw, do they exceed your switch's specified max?

If you use cruise control you may find it no longer works because the unit expects a certain amount of resistance from the standard bulbs.

Thanks Bob,John,i don't have cruise, but the emergency brake light is now on all the time, since Tapped into the leads from the mc brake switch.
How do I correct this ?

Not sure this applies but...

"Reset Brake Warning Light

After brake repairs are completed, the brake warning light on the dashboard may be on. It can be reset by briefly disconnecting the battery ground strap."
