Question adjustment of front shocks

I am fitting new front Koni shocks. I can adjust them (while not installed). At the current adjustment the response on rebounce shows hardly any overshoot. Is this the correct setting?
I have standard torsion bars. The car is lowered ca. 20 mm (ca. 3/4 in).

Harry, Do you have the Sport Koni's or the regular ones? THe Sports have a small adjusting knob in the top by which you can adjust the compression or rebound, I can't remember which.

Cheers, James

James,

I have the "street special" which are not adjustable when installed in the car. They need to be compressed fully and then rotated. Only the rebound is adjustable.

OK, What kind of shocks do you have in the rear? Where do you do most of your driving? Track, Street etc? If you do street driving, I would set them on the softer setting. I can't remember how many revolutions you go from full soft to full hard but I would try 1/3 from full soft and see how you like it. Let me know if I can help out more. I seem to be one of the few on this board with Koni's. I really like them and I run them on the track so some of my knowledge will be a bit biased towards that application.

Happy Holidays, James

I still have the rear standard shocks, probably Boge , but I have the Koni's already in house. I will fit these in the next weeks. The front struts turn 2.5 turns. I have them now one full turn from soft. May be too much. I will let you know.

I do not know how the weather in Boston is this period of the year, but here in the netherlands it is raining a lot so it will take some time before I can do some serious driving. Thanks
