Accelerator Pedal Bracket Broken Repo?
So I started to work on a 67 911 I bought a few days ago. It had been sitting a while so I cleaned up the carbs some, rerouted the gas line to a gas can and it fired up pretty quick but it quickly rev'ed to 3000 so I shut it down. After looking things over I could see the throttle linkage was holding open the throttles. I followed it back to the gas pedal and I could see the bracket pictured was bent to the side and the linkage was stuck under a hole in the floor. Is this bracket reproduced? Is this a common occurrence? Thanks

Thanks for the replys. I did look for it here but I didn't find it. I'll look up the number you posted. I wish I still had my little welder but I hardly ever used it so I sold it.

Here you go
Porsche 911 (1965-1973) - Cables & Controls - Page 1 I bought a new one and then had my buddy weld up the old one as a spare. There is actually more weld around that area on the new one than was on the original one. |

Cost me $20 to get it welded up, working good now.

This is perfect timing.... My accelerator lever (901-423-250-02) has a lot of left/right play (enough that it sticks under the tunnel when depressed) and it has bronze bushings in place. Going to pull it out, I suspect it could look similar to your original picture.
