David,
Generally the way it would be wired is as follows: Relay If the relay has four terminals two of the terminals would be used to energize the coil. The other two terminals would provide the 12V power to the blower. Fan Switch 12V would come from the battery to one terminal on the relay coil. From the other terminal on the relay coil a wire would connect to it and the other end would connect to one terminal on the fan switch. A wire connected to the other side of the fan switch would go to ground. Blower motor. 12V would come from the battery and connect to the normally open side of the relay terminal. Connect a wire to the other terminal on the normally open side of the relay and bring it to the blower motor terminal. From the other side of the blower motor terminal connect this to ground. Operation This is how it would operate. When the switch was turned on, 12V power would go to the coil on the relay and energize it. The normally open terminal on the relay would close, allowing 12V to go to the blower motor and bring it on. This is a simplfied method of wiring the fan if this is in fact the set up you have. I am not familiar with how many terminals your relay has, or if the fan switch has a low, medium or high speed. But, if you wire it up like this, you can make it work.
