two piece crossover exhaust pipe?

Hi all,

I'm finally rebuilding the engine in my 1980 911SC RoW due to many (many) broken head studs.

Today I removed the crossover exhaust pipe (in prep to install yoke for engine stand), and it appears to be in two-pieces, with a clamp near the cat (actually no-cat) side. The piece of pipe between the clamp and the cat side was very thin/rusted and broke away from the flange as I removed it. Is it possible to purchase just this short section of pipe, or do I need to source the complete assembly? I could not find it on our host's site.

Thanks,

Ditch the whole exhaust system. Get SSI or early (pre 74) equal length heat exchangers with a two in one out muffler. You have to change one oil line. You will be very happy with it. I assume your location doesn't do smog checks for the model year 1980?

Well they CAN be found used, Danske recently bought them out and they are made in Europe. Check their website. Likely north of $1000 USD. Way north.....

Thanks. Recently I saw over $2,000, but I did just find the flange I need to repair existing exhaust:

Porsche Parts Exhaust Flange, 911/930 (76-83)

But, would love SSIs!

$75 is way better than $2k. Good find.
