New Red relay failure

I have ordered new round red relays from several sources including factory ones. They seem of poor quality and fail. I have had several not only fail but also backfeed into the car's electrical system. Anyone else finding the quality of new red relays poor? Solutions?

If they are made by URO, typical.

How are these relays failing?

Not closing?

Remove the relay and put 12v on pins # 85 & 86 let's see if the relay closes.

I suspect that something is wrong beyond the relay itself.

Also, double check the voltage at terminals 85 and 86 of the socket. With ignition "on," there should be 12v at socket 86 and 0v at 85 (ground.) If somehow the wiring has been altered before you received the car, reversing those sockets will allow the relay to work but will eventually destroy the suppression diode inside the relay and cause a failure.
