Wiper arms
I would like to replace my wiper arms on the 73 with some thicker more stable ones. What years can I use?? Up till 89?? Are there any aftermarket ones available??

I can't see that Wayne carries the wiper arms themselves, but there are definitely different styles that the factory used over the years.
Your '73 would have come with the more arched versions that were used up to '75. The '76 and later versions were slightly thicker and flatter, and also had a plastic cap covering the attachment nut that was exposed on earlier versions. Not certain on whether the later arms will retrofit on your '73, as I believe the wiper motor itself also changed sometime between '71 and '75 as well. I'd first call Steve at Pelican, and if he can't help you may want to give a call to a knowledgeable dealer parts department, such as Stoddard, who should be able to provide a definitive answer. In any event, there are certainly different arm styles. Good luck, Tim |
