Post battery

I'm (re)charging my battery. Is it normal that I hear some kind of boiling noise inside the battery.

I use a trickle-charger. I thought a trickle-charger prevents the battery from boiling (over-charging).

Is this normal?

Thanks,

Kees.

Boiling is bad! Was the battery dead? If your alternator is working properly and you drive the car, you should not have to charge the battery.

If you hear gurgling noises and you have a warm battery....something's wrong with either the charger or the battery is toast. May want to consider a new battery.
