Grease gun recommendation

What's a good brand? I don't want the air type, just manual.

Thanks,

Most auto parts stores sell them; I have a full-sized, a mini, and an air-powered one. The mini is great for getting under a car, and the air-powered one is great when you need to move a lot of grease, like when you restore a new front beam in a VW.

Cool Grease Gun

I was always sorta partial to the M3A1 Grease Gun in .45ACP. However, since the U.S. went to the 9mm, I don't think they are used any more! Pity.

You can still get the 9mm "kit" for it... (Ya beat me to it ) Me? I like the Thompson (more hand-built)

If you've never used a powered grease gun, you might want to think about one; there are cordless models (that use rechargable batteries). Not only are they less grunt, but you get a free hand to help position the fitting, AND be able to get the fitting into tighter areas, since you don't have to leave room to move the manual lever up and down.

Lincoln make some very nice (made in USA) tools, but they are pricey. I'm happy with my (Taiwan-made) Puma air-powered gun to keep my two big Ford vans lubed.
