Re: 102mm P&C's for the 3.7 conversion. When I checked a year ago, they were about 4k. I'd recommend you call ANDIAL for an update. I doubt they have gone down in price. I've heard some say that those 102mm leave a pretty thin cylinder. BUT ANDIAL is known for quality work.
Re: overall project 6-9k range.....I'd go with a 3.6l swap from a later car. Re: Motec cost. Approx 8k including a custom harness. Depends on ECU you choose. Advanced tuning, wide band lamda, etc. are more $ I was the same place you are approx 2 years ago. I have gone 3.6l from 3.2l case. Motronic tuning was proving to be to difficult to adapt to all the mods cost effectively. I've gone MOTEC. My 3.2l to 3.6l: 993 crank, pauter rods, 930 oil pump, 3.2 twin plug heads worked by CMW, C2/4 cams, Motec M48, etc..... I've gone WAY over budget. But I'm having fun!!!! I'd recommend that you call Steve at Rennsport Systems or Scott at CMW motorsports. Both know the pro's and con's. There may be some others on this list you can call to discuss your options. I admit I haven't been here (pelican list) long enough to know. Best of luck on what you decide!!! |

that list from andial sounds impressive, its gonna cost a hell of a lot of dosh though? for little over 30hp?? |
Not to rain on anyones parade but wouldn't starting with a late 964 engine make a lot more sense?
We have seen 270 wheel hp w/ just a chip, exhaust and cam change. Still very streetable and reliable running on 93 pump gas. Budget for the mods including labor still under $4k. If its part of a normal r&r its even more reasonable. |
Wayne ive had a buring question, ive sent u a pm if u would so kindly answer.....thks damian
