Don't You Hate It When

The hardest part of the job is removing the stickers (and associated goo) from the new parts.

RSBob 08-02-2016 06:05 PM

You forget to reinstall the oil drain plug.

OMG, I just spent half an hour removing the stickers from the new oil return tubes I am using on my new build. Seriously, a heat gun and acetone to get 1 1/2" x 4" (really) stickers on each tube. Nuts.

I always order parts w/o stickers like NO pickles on my sandwich. Allergies, one at Chili's they gave a burger with them and my face blew up.....free meals, 10 of them.

RSBob 08-02-2016 06:59 PM

When everything is back together and you find an extra part.

porsche930dude 08-02-2016 07:05 PM

And when they put easy peel stickers on stuff that doesnt matter but not on stuff that does. And stickers over stickers making the under stickers impossible to uncover

My Little Pony stickers on the intake plenum and Strawberry Shortcake stickers on my new Conti DWs. Just makes me want to hurt someone.

You cant find one of the studs holding the exhaust onto the turbo as you are trying to get the car back on the road, even though you were sure you put all the parts in a box. Yes, this is me tonight...

DRACO A5OG 08-02-2016 07:37 PM

 Fuch :-(

You don't know the half of it. I need to buy a new punching bag.

matthewb0051 08-03-2016 06:32 AM

You realize that if you had taken off the other part that was in your way you would have saved the last 2 hours trying to wrestle the part into place. Now you take it off and the job is complete in 10 minutes...

Then the neighbors complain to your wife about the numerous swear words they heard during those 2 hours

grizzfan 08-03-2016 07:01 AM

You notice 3 days after checking your oil level that you forgot to put the oil cap back on.

Where does that bolt I just found underneath the car go?
Another one for the 'extra parts' baggie.

Mick_D 08-03-2016 07:47 AM

everything is harder than it has to be?

theiceman 08-03-2016 07:51 AM

you forget the starter ring ...

OsoMoore 08-03-2016 08:26 AM

You took off your intake headers and came up short one washer afterwards.
