I am hoping to go with the ss headers and exhaust next spring on my 81 930. Is this particular brand any good? I was going to do some comparisons when I was ready to buy. Does anyone have recommendations, or advise.
Thanks
gary

Thumbs up

I have a 3" dual out on my 89 turbo cab. I am very impressed with the quality. I think it has a pretty nice sound to it. (meaning not super loud) I would recomend getting a straight pipe for the wastegate. The sound as it lifts is pretty furious and the flame effect at night scares the S*** out the ricers.

i installed a GHL header set on a 79 930 recently, and the RUF dual outlet muffler hung down on the right side about 3" lower than the left. i had to enlarge the bolt holes in the turbo and the header flange where the turbo mounted so the turbo could be rotated on the flange. the muffler still wasn't level and the pipe leading into the muffler had to be pie cut, bent up and rewelded. luckily the customer supplied the headers so i didn't feel guilty. i would think a RUF part would fit like a factory piece. GHL says their jig is fine though. hmmm.
