Valve lift

OK.......competition time.

Just checked the Valve timing on the 3lt 78 SC. It is an ex Porsche cup engine. The stamp on the cam identifies it as a standard SC cam. However, the dial guage reads that the lift on inlet #1 is in the region of 12.3mm or 0.484. Standard is listed as 0.455 or 11.55mm.

What cam do we collectively think this is? What should be the timing and what is the profile of the lobes. Without using a degree wheel this may be a bit hard to do?

Cheers

Mark.......

It may have been a webcam 20/21 regrind. The 20/21 has a .485 lift and they will regrind stock cams to their profiles.
