Does anyone know the fitting size to the fuel filter input
I'm working on fuel lines as part of my PMO project and I'm wondering if anyone knows the size of the fitting for the input to the fuel filter.
I had Len make me fuel lines (aka Boxter GT) but with my location of the fuel filter, I am going to need to order some fittings from Jegs that use the right angles. I don't really know the size of these fittings - I think 14mm but not sure if there is any additional size needs (i.e., pitch). Any help would be greatly appreciated. |
I'm bumping this post because I need advice.
I need to buy a fitting for my fuel filter. With the PMO conversion, I have changed things around and need to complete the fuel line piece. I would like to convert my fuel line at the fuel filter to -6 An so that it mates to my fuel line but I need to know the thread sizes the screw into the fuel filter. I think it is 12mm but when I look for fittings, they are sold in 12mmx1.0, 12mmx1.25, and 12mmx1.5. I would prefer not to have to buy all three sizes just to find out the correct size. I'm using a standard 911 Bosch fuel filter. Thanks! |
I have found it is a crapshoot, every new filter needs something different.

At the level of modification that you've done, why go with a p-car filter at all?
I switched over to some speed-shop type filters, AN fittings both sides. Cleanable, rebuildable, smaller, cheaper...I ran 2 in series, a 100 micron then a 10 micron. Something like this: https://www.summitracing.com/parts/sum-230100/overview/ but there is literally hundreds of sizes, diameters, lengths, colors and particle sizes to choose from. Super easy compared to going AN fitting to metric fitting back to AN fitting. |
